Topper Custom

1983 Mt. Hood Jazz Festival

Mt. Hood Jazz Festival

In 1983, Topper was asked to build a custom aluminum floating platform with zero freeboard so that a piano looked like it was sitting on the water.

Mike Beard was contracted by Mt. Hood Community College to develop the idea and contacted Topper to design the solution.

Today, this poster is a collectible and we’re very proud of our contribution.

If you have a special project that others have said couldn’t be done, call us. Our design engineers thrive on the challenge of difficult projects.

Mountain View Play Structure

In 2001, Topper was asked to build a playground structure in Mountain View, CA.

The scow schooner play structure alongside the Sailing Lake is a wonderful place to bring your preschoolers and elementary age children to play in the sand and in a low-impact, adventurous, themed environment.

The scow schooner pays tribute to a time when flat-bottomed vessels transported grains and materials around the San Francisco Bay in the late 18th and early 19th century.
